The foam looked a little used upon unpacking from the box, but I was able to replace my broken side mirror with this one on my Ford Transit passenger van without much of an issue. Replacing it was a bit more involved than I had anticipated in that I didn't realize I would have to remove the door panel. That said, the replacement went fairly smoothly, and the mirror has been attached for about a week now and everything is working well.

I'm not usually impressed by aftermarket automotive parts purchases but these mirrors are as good if not better than the Ford factory mirrors. I bought a travel trailer that I needed to tow with my Transit 1500 wagon mid-roof with the standard mirrors and couldn't see down the sides to back through my gate. I cringed at the thought of trading my factory mirrors for aftermarket because the prior owner of my Ram 1500 installed some and they are crap. The doors rattle like a 40 year old GM on the Ram. I had to go the aftermarket route and I was so impressed with these. BUT after 4 months I thought I lost my touch backing, it takes me 3 trys because the trailer looks like its turning in both directions at the same time. I moved mobile homes 12/14 wides for 10 years so I should know what I'm doing. They seem a little convex but whatever, I'm taking them both off this weekend

Good mirror, stable, no shakes, wiring fit nicely, Huge bonus surprise was that it comes with multiple pigtails so if you have one of the different style plugs, it will still work. Only down vote on the mirror is the swing into position detent for where the mirror is held in position is different from the other side. I bought a left and a right mirror and each sits differently. Drivers side detent position is a good bit forward and away, Passenger side is straight out or even a bit rearward when in its detent position. No biggie unless you have a bit of OCD like me. But then again, the price makes it tolerable.

This is NOT a direct replacement as stated. The plug is different and also the mount is different. We had to rework the mount and the plug. Functions, but for the extra labor and aggravation, I would not buy again and would buy genuine Ford.

The fit and finish looks great mounted. The arm covers feel a little cheap as thenplastic shells don't line up perfect.The biggest issue for me is the mirror came with a 6 pin molex and my van has the 8 pin molex. Easy enough to fix as both use three wires of the connectors as expected so I'll just splice on the correct connector.
