When the package came I thought something was wrong - it was way too small for the CPF-2500 filters. I opened the box and there were four small vacuum sealed packages (see photo). The instructions on one said to open and put in water to expand.I didn't really want to deal with wet sponges, so I let them sit out in the open overnight. They expanded a bit, but still not nearly enough to work in the filter. When all else fails, follow the instructions, so I put them in a sink full of water. Within minutes they had expanded to full size!Initially I'd say they were about 1/4" thick in the vacuum sealed pouches. After expansion they were exactly 2" thick, and looked and felt just like the OEM filter sponges.These fit and work exactly as the OEM, just be sure to follow instructions and soak them in water to get full expansion. They easily wring out, so you only get minor dripping.

These are the wrong size for the VIVOHOME Biological Pond Filter 1840GPH/2630 GPH. And of course I ruined it as i completely unpacked and unsealed the air tights package.
