I have two of these pressure switches, both of them were used to provide a pressure loss safety cutoff on water misting systems. These switches cut power to the pump if the input supply is interrupted to protect the pump from over-heating. In my application they are used on standard 1HP USA 110v single phase AC induction motors.

The threaded brass portion of the part is like 3/4 inch too short. It makes it extremely difficult to tighten and requires altering the heat deflector shield to install and tighten.
