My old lock was so worn out you could jiggle the door from the outside when it was "locked" and get the door open. Now it latches SO satisfyingly! Only two screws, so installation took like 30 seconds. Very happy with this product.

The pin from the latch on our sliding door broke and I thought it was going to be a nightmare trying to replace it. The door was installed before we bought the house, and I personally really didn't want to deal directly with Andersen because they are known to basically stalk you by phone/email/text for months on end trying to get you to sign up for an estimate for new windows. So I wanted to replace this part without giving them my contact info.I was a little worried that because our original latch was at least 15 years old, that I wouldn't be able to find a compatible replacement part. When this piece came, I had a moment of panic where it didn't seem like it was going to fit (the pin felt too thick to fit in the hole of the locking mechanism in my door), but my husband gave it a really firm shove, in it went, and it works great now. The color matches my original hardware perfectly. This was an easy fix that probably saved me more than a hundred bucks had I hired a repair person to do it. And, Andersen still doesn't have my contact info mwahahahaha!
