Like other reviewers have said. This is poor cheap quality. Literally as I go to push it down, the hook snaps.

I own a Macbook pro 2018 and the spacebar fits perfectly. I've been waiting to adjust this spacebar for a while but the item was as described and easy to place.

I had an issue with my 2017 MacBook Pro where it would only work if you pressed in the middle of the spacebar. Ordered this replacement. Installation was very easy and fixed my problem right up! Spacebar now works wherever you press it.

All pieces arrived in apparently new condition, unbroken, and in working order. You can't just "snap" these things on, you have to know what you are doing, i.e. very carefully remove the underneath brackets that are glued down to the computer. VERY carefully, otherwise you can break them because of too much bending, but go slow and use both hands when taking a thin spatula of some sort and slide them under the pieces until they are free. Thankfully you really don't need to add adhesive afterwards since the adhesive remains on the objects well enough to put them back into place after removal. Once the pieces are removed (I only removed 2 out of the 3 [left and center pieces] since the 3rd [right-side] is fine where it's at if you just position the upper bracket's prongs correctly to be fitted inside the fitting area of the lower bracket) then you can put the upper bracket down (positioned correctly with topside / bottom-side as well as "flip-side" / youtube it you'll see) THEN re-attach the underneath bracket pieces that were glued down OVER the prongs on the upper bracket that was positioned after lower bracket removal. After that, you gently snap the spacebar casing onto the upper bracket (topside snaps, bottom-side is slid into first). If you have an engineering mind, this replacement is actually quite easy and will save you $400-500 for replacing the entire keyboard. Highly recommend! using a magnifying glass to assess all pieces helps to make sense of everything. The only unintuitive things about this install is the "flip-side" positioning of the upper bracket (the bracket in this purchase) and the top/bottom-side positioning. That is a bit difficult to know unless researched prior to this repair. All in all, it took me about 15-20 minutes with research to do it.

Be very careful when taking out your old space bar because if you bust those white connectors then you’re in trouble. This kit is done, but it doesn’t come with those clips.

So this was probably taken off some beat up Mac for parts. The problem that I have is that it has super small clips that need to be intact for me to use it as a replacement. Most of these clips where broken when I received this space bar.

Space bar came bent. There’s two lawyers of protections but the seller packed it too tight that it still ended up bent. Not only that, one of the hooks under the space bar is broken (shown in photo, the one circled on the right). I decide not to return because all I need is the butterfly hinge. The white butterfly hinge bent a little but not too bad. I used the white hinge with my original space bar. It does the job. That’s why I’m still giving it three stars.
