This is a great basic lamp set up. It fits perfectly for a tall or wide enclosure. I like the hooks for cable management. It's super easy to put together and it's strong. It holds my large double lamp easily. The foot fits great under the terrarium for maximum stability. It's easy to adjust the height and position of the arm. It works great! Save your money and buy this. It's worth every penny.

This works great at holding our heat lamp off of the mesh above our enclosure! It was very easy to install and it's also very easy to adjust to the height you need! Good quality materials- no complaints!

I got this to hold my heat lamp but unfortunately it was too lightweight and unstable. I was able to cable tie it to something so it would stay up but it isn't what I expected to have to do for a product that's made to hold heat lamps...

It’s a wonderful little stand but it just can’t extend high enough to get the light off the top of the terrarium. The stand assembles very easily, slide pole a into pole b and secure with the included bolt. Had it set in less than a minute. The stand actually has a flat price that goes under the terrarium (instead of suctioning to the side like some others do) which is AWESOME. Not having to worry the suction cup will come undone at midnight, while you’re sleeping, is a great preventative for mild terror-driven coronaries. However…upon getting it set and adjusting the last pole to the highest the stand will go…it’s just not long enough that the hook will lift our snake’s lamp off of the mesh of the terrarium. At all. So the stand is, unfortunately, no more than a decorative piece to the snake’s 40 gallon terrarium. If they make one that’s taller and keeps that flat base then, trust me, I will be getting it but this one just doesn’t work, sadly.

I love these types of hanging lamp stands for animal enclosures; I prefer that the lamp doesn't touch the screen top. This stand is easy to assemble and has an adjustable height. For 10 gallon tanks (like the one pictured), it would be best to position the stand from the back as the length of the arm is not adjustable. It should fit perfectly over 20-30 gallon tanks, though.

Stands are one of those overlooked items I feel like in the reptile hobby. I think lighting is a huge part to any set up or terrarium and with stands specifically, it helps dial in the exact environmental needs of your pet. I keep numerous species of tree frogs ranging in environment needs so having an adjustable stand is a must. The flat base is a well thought of addition to this one specifically since you rely on physical retention rather than a suction cup. So it slides under your tank really nice and you never have to worry about the weight of a single or double fixture falling off or on top of your tank.

It's sturdy enough for a small light, I suppose, but there's no way it will handle much weight. My heat lamp might be a tad much for it. But aside from that (and this may be standard, I'll admit to never assembling one of these before), the design is odd. What you have is a base, with a square tube with thumb screws to hold it together. Into that square tube, you put a round rod with a 90 at the top, which then connects to another square tube that has the hanging hook built in.What I don't get is, WHY a round rod, for a square tube? It's less secure. When you tighten up the thumb screws, they push against the round rod, and kind of jam it back into one corner of the square tube, but not nearly as securely as a SQUARE rod sized for that tube would. Because of this, it feels wobbly and unsteady no matter how tight you get the screws. Just a dumb design.
