This is not 8000 hours of use as advertised. I run the bulb fewer than 12 hours a day , so according to them, the bulb should last about 2 years. It died after one year, pretty much to the day.

So far this seems to be working well in my python enclosure. All the plants are live, I will adjust my review over time if it fails to perform. It isn't the only uv light over my enclosure.

Works great. Gets beat up by kids moving lights all the time. An inch longer than my light housing so light touches top of cage lid and still works great! This light lives next to a heat lamp and still working great even with all the heat and sharing the same housing.
