Starting with the good, the earpiece is really comfortable, and the sound quality is pretty decent overall.Where this thing falls short is the PTT, and the connecting wires. It acts a lot like a really worn out phone charger where you have to constantly manipulate the wire in order for it to connect then having to tape the wire in place so the PTT will work.

Got this headset to communicate with other retail staff members. While it works well with the Retevis 2 radio, I found that it fits TOO well in your ear, blocking out all additional noise. This makes it difficult to chat with anyone face-to-face and maintain situational awareness. Also, I found that communication is a little grainy through the radio. Ultimately I don't use it as much as I'd like.

I like this product, only that the clear piece that hooks to the black piece keeps breaking.

Some reviews say the sound quality is bad, but I feel like theirs is messed up because mine was crystal clear. The curvature for the ear piece is a little tall so I have to tuck it under my glasses and/or hat to make more secure. Also the clip on the mic is black, but the ear piece clip is silver and stands out. I'll probably use nail polish to cover it. As for the mic, people have said i sound far away/echo if I don't angle my face towards my collar when I key up. Overall it does it's purpose and I like the in-ear version or the discs that sit on the outside.

Was worrying about the quality of this product. However, is not that bad.The sound is good, comfort wise is very good, i had been wear it for more than 8 hours per day and it is still good.For this price, is a very good product.

I was hesitant about buying this PTT earpiece since it was so inexpensive, but it held up just fine over a full weekend of airsoft. The sound quality was surprisingly good and fit my ear just fine. I did thread this though my plate carrier so it was not too exposed, but it got wet from snow and banged around a bit and is still working just fine.

I am an licensed amateur radio operator. I was looking for something comfortable to wear and yet something which would not allow everyone around me to hear the conversations going on while in a public area. Also these are made that the sound from the speaker is not right next to the brain, keeping the magnetic energy away from the brain. Good product and a very good price with dependability. Retevis has always put out a good product.

We purchased Retevis radios for our church for our Safety Team. I wanted to upgrade the earpiece from the one that came with the radio due to the quality. This ear piece did a better job but not quite what I was hoping for.First, I'm not sure if I missed the in the description but when putting the piece on the first time I noticed that the mic was too short for the sleeve (which is what I thought I ordered). The mic is a lapel mic, not a sleeve mic.Second, I was hoping that the ear piece would fit around my ear snug but was not a happy as I thought I was going to be. It fits "ok" but little movement and it raises and the canal piece comes loses. I wear glasses so it I tuck it behind the frame on my glasses it does not move as much.Third, the sound quality is great and have not had any issues at all with sound. Even in loud, church congregational singing, I can still hear with no problem.Overall the ear piece is a good investment over the standard that comes with the radio. I gave it a 4 star because of sturdy construction and sound quality but do wish the mic cable was longer to reach coat sleeve and fit better around outside of the ear.

Great product... I've used many PTT Headsets in the past and this is one of my favorite... I used this in a professional setting... My requirements for my job is that the product has to be a solid build and can take punishment from moving around as well as the elements... Needed a product that will last... The product has to be comfortable... But most importantly, the sound has to be clear... This headset met all of my requirements and it's holding up after more than 2 months of weekly use, 4 days a week...The only thing I don't like about this product is the length of the tube... But that can be customised... Just cut to the size needed and reinstall... No problem... I wish there was a twist on replacement feature for the tube like other headsets I own but the design is different on my other headsets (Secret Service style)... Just like all product, there's always a con and this one is no exception... But it's something very minor so I did not deduct a star rating...Highly recommended coming from a professional user... Can be used for civilian use as well...
