This type of leash is in my opinion very much superior to a standard leash. There is a brake control that lets you stop your dog from getting into trouble, going places where it shouldn't go or approaching animals that might hurt it. The leash is also able to give your dog more room to room about when it is a safe area. It is an impossible task to get this thing tangled unless you are actually trying to do it. It is well made and durable, and although I've only been using this for about a month, it has so far served me well.

The line itself isn't as wide as I thought it would be (only about 5/8"), but it works well and is a lot lighter in my hand. I guess I was expecting something a little more substantial, closer to my old one that lasted for 3 different dogs at different times. This unfortunately looks like it will probably only last a few years with our 45lb high energy rescue. At least it works well (the lock on our old one finally stopped working, hence ordering of this one). The 30 feet lead is exactly what I was looking for.

I have a small dog and it is perfect for him, they usually walk in urban spaces and this allows him to take a great distance to explore the area. He loves to take long walks, I feel safer using the leash at a great distance.

Comfortable to hold and easy to use. I like the retractable feature, it pulls out and back in very easily on it's own. The button to lock it is very easy to turn off and on with your thumb seamlessly. If it is locked and your dog pulls on it, you cannot unlock it until the dog gives some slack. This took me a little bit to realize why it was locking like that.

This is a small leash designed for dogs up to 30 pounds. The buttons on the leash may feel stiff to operate initially, but there is a learning curve. The leash is sturdy, hard plastic but feels well-balanced in the hand. Once you master the button operation, it functions smoothly. And when you need to restrain your dog, the button effectively locks the leash. I've noticed that the retractable part doesn't always retract immediately, but this isn't a major issue for me

Sturdy and tangle-free with a comfortable grip. The 16-ft length allows good movement for small dogs.

This leash is a nice length, the handle isn’t too heavy, and so far the leash part is holding up well which can sometimes be an issue with retractable leashes. The one thing that really bothers me about this leash is that the lock button is horrible. It’s fine to push down to stop the dog quick but actually trying to lock it into place and then back out takes forever. It’s like it gets jammed or something.
