The fit leave it to rattle around rather than firm. Material looks like reasonable plastic. The release button is too high so catches on stuff. I had no issue reversing it. Other than that it does the job.

I recently purchased the Canon RF50mm f1.8 lens and I always make sure to use a lens hood for my photography to maintain image quality and protect my gear. I was pleased with the quality of the lens hood I bought. I found the lock mechanism to be functional, but I wish it was a bit firmer so it wouldn't accidentally unlock with slight pushes. Despite this minor issue, I think the quality is great for the price. I also love that the hood doesn't show up in my photos and the reversible mounting option is a real space-saver, especially when I'm on the go.
