A non-varietal specific collection, made of crystal glass, that will increase the owner‘s drinking pleasure of wine. For the first time, Riedel presents glasses for beginners or occasional wine drinkers who nevertheless do not want to forgo that famous Riedel quality. Instead of being functional and matched to the grape variety, the glasses of the Riedel Wine Friendly collection are designed for a specific purpose. With this collection, Riedel is responding to a worldwide increase in demand for “easy to use” entry-level glasses. The collection was originally developed as a mise-en-place for the restaurant industry, where universal glasses are preferred due to limited storage space. The collection includes four glasses and a decanter: Magnum – an all-round glass that can be used for both red and white wines. A glass for red wine, a glass for white wine that can also be used for champagne, and an allpurpose tumbler. A decanter completes the collection.

This was flimsy. The first one arrived shattered and they sent me a replacement which was so delicate I didn’t feel comfortable using it as an efficient product given how thin it was. I’ll likely look for something more versatile

I know I shouldn’t compare the two but the finish is not as good as riedel’s stemware. That said, the design is absolutely beautiful. Simple yet elegant, this is the machine made version of Mosel decanter and you pay 15% of the price. Well…I placed an order @22 dollars but after waiting for two weeks the order was cancelled, placed a new order again @40 kinda disappointed but still worth the price tag. It becomes my favorite water pitcher when I do not use it to decant wine, which is, most of the time.
