Never heard of KaiMinDogz before? Me neither, but they seem to make a good quality spring that comes packaged in a nice kit that includes winding bars and a pair of gloves with grips. The instructions are clear and written well with helpful illustrations. Other tools you may need are a metal file, wrench, and locking vise grip pliers. The winding cones are aluminum and appear to be similar quality to the ones on the old spring that I’m removing. Someone damaged my old spring cones. Aluminum is a soft metal and the holes where the winding bars go were gouged up and deformed making it hard to insert the winding bars (my old springs, not new product). This was actually good to see, so that I knew to avoid repeating their mistakes on the new springs, which are also aluminum.Installation went smoothly. The included winding bar tools work well. Parts fit right. Be sure to file off any rough edges on the bar that your old spring’s mounting screws may have left. The springs do what they are supposed to do. They seem to work well. Time will tell if they last. I would love to have a way to test these for durability, but I just won’t know unless they fail after a few years. Until then, I’ll give these 5 stars.
