Bought as a replacement for my surface pro 4. Yes it still works just needed a new keyboard. The replacement is sturdy and connects with out an issue. I actually like it better since it doesnโt drain the computers battery. Good value replacement

Overall not bad so far. Keys are kind of loud and I wish the backlight was brighter.Battery seems to last about two, three days of heavy usage.

Delivered January 5, 2025. Delete key quit working on February 14, 2025, after return date passed. How ridiculous. Very inconvenient.Itโs not plug and play like original Microsoft keyboard. You have to charge it, and it has an power button.Keyboard often gets stuck, so I toggle the power button off and on to get it to work again.Total waste of money!

It does work fine, but it had a key that gets stuck sometimes, I needed to fix it myself by bending the key a little bit

My previous keyboard didn't work. The replacement came in a package that had already been opened but the keyboard inside works.I had to push Fn+C turn turn on Bluetooth, because bluetooth seems to be "off" by default. My other Bluetooth keyboards don't do this, so this is annoying.After successfully pairing, the keyboard didn't work at all. I rebooted the tablet and keyboard and everything is now working.

I admit that this keyboard is not exactly what I expected it would be. It's still a good keyboard, but it's not a complete replacement for the full surface keyboard.Let me start out with the good points. This keyboard is actually awesome. I like the key action better than the MS one. The touch pad works really well. It's very responsive and the multi finger gestures also work. The keyboard connects to the Surface Pro with very strong magnetsโฆ lot stronger than the MS version. And yes, as advertised you can change the backlight between white and five other colors. I have to admit that I've already grown very fond of the dark blue one. It's very nice for when you're sitting in the dark.Here is the problem. This keyboard does not attach to the Surface Pro the way the MS one does. The keyboard itself has its own charging port and on/off switch. That's because this keyboard is entirely Bluetooth. It does not get its power from the Surface Pro at all. This creates a few extra negatives. First off, closing the keyboard against the computer effectively does nothing to the computer. As far as I can tell the Surface Pro just stays on all the time when this keyboard is attached. It doesn't know that it's โclosed.โ Strangely, the keyboard itself *does* know that it is closed, so it goes into a sort of sleep mode. You just have to remember to hit the button on your surface, you could run out of juice. Thatโs why I say it might not be โprimaryโ but still a good backup, depending on how you use it.On the plus side, this is a standard Bluetooth keyboard that can be used with any Bluetooth active device. You can even attach it to an Amazon fire stick. It also means that you can leave the computer on the table and just hold the keyboard in your lap. So, that turns out to be quite a positive under certain situations. I was pretty excited when I realized I could attach my Surface Pro to the TV and just have the keyboard sitting in my lap in my easy chair. It's very cool actually.So, this is not an exact replacement for the MS version. On the other hand, this keyboard has some positives but still gives me the desire to give it five stars. As long as you know what youโre getting, you wonโt be disappointed.

The cursor keeps jumping randomly in between texts as I'm writing. Also, the delete button does not work. It is also heavy and not as thin as original.

Better than the Microsoft keyboard because:- Can be used detached which is a HUGE benefit (with the screen elevated)- No exposed electrical contacts (I bought this keyboard because the exposed electrical contacts of the Microsoft keyboard have become unreliable).Worse than the Microsoft keyboard because:- Not as rigid: the whole keyboard bends and flexes when typing in the elevated position, which is annoying.- Enter key is single height- Backlighting switches off very quickly and does not seem to be changeable. If in a dark room, the first keystroke is often wrong.- Slightly bulkier and heavier (understandable, as there is a battery), but the overall impact is very marginal. You really need to put both keyboards side by side to see the difference.Otherwise, keys and touchpad are equal to Microsoft (both very nice).In the end, it is half the price of Microsoft, similar quality, but with a battery and bluetooth. I am never buying Microsoft keyboards again. Their margins must be ridiculous.

Easy to install and use. The connectivity is pretty stable. Keys are pressed very easily and sometimes even while the cover is closed, so be sure to switch it off when not in use. Charges daily easy, just plug it into the computer while charging. Seems fairly durable. Decent product for the money.

Overall still usable. However,1. Win + Left Shift + Arrow doesn't work. Only if I choose Right Shift.2. Experienced accidentally key press by itself quite often3. It's unfortunate to have to press Fn in order to use Home, End, Del4. Missing palm rejection on the touchpad5. Need a way to disable pinch to zoom because scrolling pages with 2 fingers most likely triggers zooming too. This is quite bad.
