Figured I'd replace the origanals which had some carbon build up with these, placed in the Rinnai 75 exactly as the originals and would not fire up, code 11 everytime, tried adjusting/tweaking several times to no avail, wound up sandpapering/cleaning the originals and it fired right up and ran good as new. Return to sender...

Went to take a shower one morning and the water heater would beep and display "12" but not put out hot water. Women and young ladies in the house NOT HAPPY. I've had this problem before, watched a youtube video and fixed it so I knew that was the issue again. Ordered this part and called a plumber at the same time. Package beat the plumber and i fixed it no problem. The Original Rinnai flame rod kit lasted 11 years, these cheap Chinese knock offs only last 2 years apparently. Already ordered another unit to keep on top of the water heater as a spare.4 stars for longevity not equal to the part it's replacing.

So happy to have found these. Had these changed out twice by my local Rennai dealer at $300 + each time (mostly because of the "service call" charge. Found these and then watched a YouTube video on how to install them and bam! problem solved for (error code 11). If you can use a screwdriver, you can do this!

These flame rods had my Rinnai Water Heater working as well as when it was new 11 years ago without waiting a week for a plumber to show up. There is a severe shortage of plumbers, electricians, and other high-skilled workers.They are identical to the originals and easy to install. It would be very easy to install with smaller hands.I have never flushed this water heater but have a water softener for the whole house to avoid calcium build up. We have very hard water (measures 610 ppm calcium) so the water output from the softener has notable salt levels as the softener replaces the calcium with sodium chloride. The softener prevents calcium build up in faucet seals, diswashers, washing machines, and toilet valves, so they last much longer.Salt does tend to cause corrosion in bronze, copper, and even brass, such as the heat exchanger in the hot water heater. To avoid a days without hot water at some future time, I have ordered a new Rinnai Water Heater with 199,000 btu burners. It will replace the 180,000 btu Rennai in which I used these flame rods.The new Rennai uses the same flame rods, so I ordered another set of these flame rods so I can replace them in future years.
