The material is very easy to tie knots in, with high knot strength and a smooth finish that ensures knots seat easily and tightly. The high break strength to diameter ratio makes this a fantastic fluorocarbon for the trout fly fisher. RIO is proud to introduce “half sizes” of core trout diameters, giving anglers an extra choice when faced with the decision to choose between whole sizes. Now anglers can decide upon 6.5X, 5.5X and 4.5X sizes. 3-Pack includes three, 30-yard spools of tippet packaged in a reusable, clear plastic cup. The 3-Packs are available in both a 4X, 5X, 6X option, & a 3X, 4X, 5X option.

The tippet spools arrived quickly and are compact in size to fit neatly in a tackle box or pocket. Have only used them a couple of times, but they appear to be strong, flexible and easy to tie to the end of the leader.

very thin for the line breakage which is what I was after. The 5.2lb is almost too thin to tie a knot but the other 2 sizes I will continue to buy.

Only complaint is sometimes I can’t see it to tie on the flies. It’s spendy but the only line I’ll fish.

it's no doubt strong, few issues, but is a little soft so curls more than the nylon.
