My wife gifted me the Corralitos last night for an upcoming birthday. I asked for the 44cm since my shoulder width is 16.5" and I was replacing Specialized Hover Bars 42cm, or should I say experiment? After gauging the installation which for me was not usual to a drop bar having the bottom portion of the drop level with the ground. The quandary for me was ensuring the best use of the SWEPT back and RISE; depending on the bar's turn within the stem the angles could vary. After a nice ride without tape and no adjustments, I concluded these new bars were not only superior in comfort but allowed for a seamless transition from hoods to drops. When I say seamless, I mean having two fingers on my brake levers, and hoods in the crotch; I can unwrap my thumb from the crotch while two fingers stay on levers and transition to drops. See it this way, like a 3-point connection when climbing off or on a ladder, or a truck.I attribute this performance to the short reach and short drop which ultimately makes for the best control in every situation and well of course safety. My sweet spot could differ from yours and bar position but I'll add they've been installed on a Salsa Stormchaser SS. Won't be going back to the HOVER, the upright position, comfort, control, and transition ability is SWEET!I'd recommend to anyone looking for everything I've mentioned and frankly, they're lighter, probably just as stiff as Redshift. The difference between the two are the shallower drops and shorter reach you get with Corralitos. I know since I own a pair of Kitchen sinks without the loop. Comfort is primary and secondary is the seamless transition ability.
