Safety base has a narrow 1/2 inch open watering ring to prevent drowning and to be more suitable for smaller breeds, such as quail. Waterer base and jar feature a strong poly design. Includes our 1 quart poly mason jar. Base will also connect to any glass regular mouth quart or pint mason jar as shown in photos. Glass Jar not included and photo is for reference only. Snug fitting to create a nice lasting seal but is a bit snug the first few times of use so push and turn with some force to attach to jar until broke in.

I searched and searched for a Quail waterer and could not find one. They seem to be hard to find, but found this one and it is perfect! It took a while to get here, but I am just happy to have it for my 1-day old chicks! Highly recommend!!

This was just right for my baby button quail, even after they got big. They’re full grown and still perfectly happy drinking out of this.

Ordered this for chicks to not fall in and get wet or drown. Have to fill more frequently as they aren’t quail but that’s okay for me knowing my chicks are safe. Could possibly get a couple more for convenience of not refilling so soon. Nothing fancy but glad to have access to this product as my local store don’t carry the quail size. Price was fair.
