Bought this as a craft to do with my 3 1/2 yr old granddaughter, and was not disappointed! She was able to warm the wax in her hand, and easily place the wick and roll it tightly. My only complaint is that I wish it came with more extra wax for the ones that needed to be redone. Would definitely buy this again!!?

Did this as a family. It got a little boring eventually but we finished. You end up having to warm it for the kids and then let them wrap it up cause they will not have the patience to do it themselves and it might crack if you don't warm it enough. They burned nicely though.

The package came a little worse for wear, but this was a great Chanukah purchase! We saw a similar offer in the grocery store but it was $10 for 7 candles. I also checked craft stores but came up empty until I checked Amazon. This was easy to do (my kid is 10) and my partner and I enjoyed rolling candles too. Most of the Chanukah toys and activities out there are quite babyish for tweens so this worked out great! I would advise making all the candles at once and not night by night and do follow the directions. There’s only one extra wick but a few extra wax pieces. I haven’t seen how they burn and melt yet, so I’m not using the candles with a fancy chanukiah. Would buy again and would gift this to other families who are looking for a kitchen table relaxing and wholesome activity.

I bought these to use as an activity for my daughter’s bee themed birthday party. The kids all had a lot of fun rolling a beeswax candle. It took a lot longer to soften the wax than I expected, but the kids were able to use them fine and a couple layers made a nice little candle. The quality was good and all the colors were very bright.

This was an awesome craft that basically any age can do (with some help). My daughter made candles for family members for the holidays. Not only was it a fun afternoon making them with her, but everyone seemed really touched by a homemade gift from a child.

Purchased these to use as a craft with my Brownie troop. Picked this kit over other options as we have a large group of girls and there was enough for each girl to make several. They did very well with this and enjoyed the project. They liked having a variety of colors to choose from. We did this in early summer, so the wax was warm enough to work with after just holding the sheets between their hands for a minute or so. Not sure how they burn as my daughter won't let me light hers! Makes about a birthday sized candle.

Family fun, especially for the kids. My 5 year old and I did most of the candles and had a lot of fun. It's pretty easy to do if you follow the simple instructions. We gave this to him the first night of Hanukkah and we used these candles for every other night. It gave him some real appreciation and satisfaction when lighting the candles.

Fine for Hanukkah candle-making, but also great to use as a children's craft project -- decorating larger candles. The wax comes in small sheets in a wide variety of colors. Pinch off small pieces, sculpt into different shapes, and stick them onto pillar candles, or tapers, to make attractive decorations for birthdays and other holidays, at a fraction of the price of specific-purpose "candle decorating kits." (Two Hanukkah Candle Kits provided enough decorating materials for 40 kids at daycamp. Yeah!)

We used these as the craft for our Hanukkah celebration in Sunday School. The kids really liked making them. It took at least one time through for each to get the hang of it; but then, they just kept making them until we used up the kit. The different colors of wax made it a lot of fun. The wax sheets will crack and break as they are rolled around the wicks; however, the heat from busy little hands will quickly mold them back together and into shape. Just what I was looking for, and I'll be sure to use them every year.
