Works great for RS485 Modbus over RJ45.**this will not work for Ethernet, you’re looking for a switch, this just connects all cables together**

I was looking for a small passive hub to use with my laptop when I need a wired connection. The description looks like it was written using google translate but the cost was low enough I thought I would give it a try. It does not work like a hub and sorting through the description it does not seem like it has a real life purpose unless it is one in a million application. If it worked like a passive hub it would have been perfect.

This network adapter allows me to connect both my high speed internet and my printer into one port for my laptop. That leaves me with 2 extra ports in case I need more in the future. It worked instantly for me right out of the box and I did not notice and decrease in internet speed. I appreciate when things work as they should and glad I now own this handy little gadget.
