Retention clips are good and strong almost a little too strong but I definitely don't have to worry about them popping off when going down the road.

These are from the manufacturer and not some off-brand knock offs.Exactly what I needed and expected.These should have been included with the towing base plate but the manufacturer made these optional for some reason.

I am purchasing the RoadMaster 910026 safety pins with the wire that clips over the end as these clevis pins can bounce out of the pin. I have a friend who had one bounce out on a rough road and the result was a bent tow bar, luckily he did not lose the toad. Roadmaster should include these with the hitch pins and ditch the clevis style pins.
