The gauge is easily readable. I use the gauge in a horizontal orientation. When horizontal, the oil fill pools underneath the display, leaving a large air bubble on the display surface; not a good look, but usable. See attached photo ...

Hoping this one lasts as it’s longer than stand ones. The oil inside should help.

This works great for my sand filter. You get an accurate reading for the pressure. It doesn’t leak. The oil that is inside the reader helps you see the number clearer. Would buy again.

Bought this gauge to replace the one that broke on my Hayward pool filter.....love the bigger numbers and areas marked that show the range to backwash, etc.

It seems as accurate as the last one I had on the pump. I like the rotating bezzle for keeping up with where by pressure is after a backwash. It's a little bigger than the one I pulled off, so I had to use a fitting to extend it to where I could screw it in.

I ordered this ‘Roastove 2" Start and Clean Pool Filter Pressure Gauge’ to keep as a spare in case my current filter gauge decided to call it quits. And every pool owner knows that does happen. This is a pretty standard pool gauge. The construction is about the same as most of the other ones out there at a similar price point. It’s not super heavy like the better gauges are, so it may just last one season. And the gauge, itself, is not liquid filled which also is a negative. Liquid filled gauges do tend to last longer and be more accurate. But the one feature that I really like about this ‘Roastove 2" Start and Clean Pool Filter Pressure Gauge’ is that it has markings on it…which are clearly visible and easy to read…which tell you your filter needs to be cleaned. Honestly, I haven’t seen that on a pool pressure gauge before. It’s a definite plus in my opinion. This gauge does seem fairly accurate. I tried it out on my pool filter, and reading it fave was very close to that of my liquid filled gauge. All in all, this ‘Roastove 2" Start and Clean Pool Filter Pressure Gauge’ is a good option in a lower priced pool filter gauge. It seems accurate…is easy to read…and clearly tells you when to clean your filter. I just hope it holds up.

I’m hoping this lasts longer than the last gauge on my Sta-rite PLM150 pool filter. I live in south Florida, where the constant high humidity rusts everything at a ridiculous rate. This gauge is made of a stainless-steel shell with a brass fitting. If there is anything inside that can oxidize, I’m hoping the fact that it’s covered in glycerin will prevent any oxidation that would lead to corrosion or rust. This gauge goes from 0 to 30 psi and is about perfect for pool filters. I’ve had 0–60 psi gauges on this filter and found that they’re less accurate and harder to read when you’re looking for 12–16 psi. This one makes it even easier by putting a red and blue section right on the dial face.So far, it’s working great. Hope this helps.

An accurate pressure gauge that took a while to find! Very well-built and hopefully will last a long time. Excellent, heavy duty quality and well priced.
