The photo shows a true Rob Allen load assist. I ordered 3 and all of them were knock-offs, not genuine rob allen product.

Does exactly as advertised. I have been spear fishing for a long time and I wish I would have had this years ago. I always keep one or two in my bag. Especially when I have people new to the sport with me.

Works well kept on arm while open water/paddy hopping. I did the same in the kelp. I came up from the dive no longer having a load assist luckily had a spare on the boat. I now keep it clipped to the butt of the gun

I have the mantis roller from neptonics on a 120cm rob allen vecta 2 and this loading assist made it a breeze to load with no problems!! If your having trouble loading your speargun you should definitely get this!!!

works as stated. Makes loading those Longer multiple band guns much easier and faster. especially helps loading roller guns. Love it. Got 2.(update07302019)Still got it and still use it and love it. Lost 1 during a log dive it just floated away w the current. Rob Allen's guns have a clip under the grip which is thep referable place to keep it when not in use. Easy access and wont drift away. Just gotta be aware of your gear. If your shafts dont have a rest tab, then this in the next best option. When out of water rinse off clean. Silicone grease will help extend the life of the band when out of water.

I haven't actually received mine yet, but I used a friends earlier today and it does exactly what it's supposed to. Im a shorter guy buy I have a longer speargun, and have problems actually being able to reach the bands when the butt of the gun is secured into my chest. Even though this makes loading a two-step process per band, overall it saved me a lot of time and struggle.
