I bought these to pull up glue down carpet. Once you have a small area to grip, these carpet pullers give you the needed leverage to keep pulling.

This are definitely heavy duty. Worked great. Just make sure you wear gloves as the handles are metal

Very a great tool to pull carpets. I was able to pull 2000 square feet of carpet without any difficulty. Without this tool, pulling by hand would have made my hand and fingers sore

I wish I knew about this tool sooner! I recently remodeled a commercial space with carpet that was attached with adhesive and using my bare hands was a nightmare. I saw this on a YouTube video (because thats where the pros go for help lol). It made pulling the carpet up a breeze with better grip and leverage. Its a cheap tool that will save you time, energy and frustration.

These things are great. Worked with two general contractors who actually had people on knees with a utility knife and pliers tearing out thousands of feet of carpet. They were amazed (apparently at my ability to do rudimentary research online) when I pulled a set of these out of my trailer, along with a Crain stand-up carpet cutter. Jeez, I'm not even in the carpet business and I know about these. Worth the price within one minute of pulling up glue-down or padded carpet. Well made, just be sure to RED locktite the nuts when you get them. Have four, lost a nut on one of them (minor inconvenience). Wide 4" width vs. 1/2" width on pliers reduces tear-out greatly. Nobody should work for somebody in the demo/carpet business who doesn't have these.
