They incorporate a manual valve, pilot valve and a main gas pressure regulator. Each uni-kit includes all the necessary parts and instructions needed to convert to direct spark or hot surface applications. These valves are designed for many residential and commercial applications such as central heating units, wall heaters, boilers and mobile home furnaces. They also have all the wiring connections, manual selector and adjustments easily accessible. Use 1751-003 to convert valves to natural gas. Use 1751-013 to convert valves to l.P. Gas.

It needs to be known that this Gas Valve, Robertshaw 700-506 is sent as a NATURAL GAS Valve, if you want to use it on LP, you will need to purchase a Robertshaw 1751-013 LP Gas Regulator and change out the Natural Gas Regulator. THIS IS NOT A LP GAS VALVE, but if the regulator is changed, it will work just fine. It was not an issue with my application, because I was changing it our on a gas fryer and I simply used the regulator that was on the old valve and it worked just fine. OTHER THAN THAT, this is a great valve at a KILLER PRICE !!!!

Our 70 year old gas furnace died during the coldest week of the year and we were tripping circuit breakers running electric heaters in eavery bedroom. Three furnace repair companies came out and they all refused to touch the old beast. I don't blame them, but we needed heat and weren't ready to replace the furnace. I troubleshooted the system and found that the old General Controls B-60 gas valve wasn't operating when getting millivolts through the thermostat. This gas valve was delivered the next day and I was able to install and get the furnace running again with a minor modification to the pilot outlet.

POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS - If any sideways pressure is applied on that pilot knob when held down, it will start leaking. Potentially missing/needed gasket or a bad tolerance?Besides that, it works great. If you do have a similar issue, just be careful not to fat finger the pilot knob and cause it to leak-while you’re holding it. You will hear it, and it stops when the sideways pressure on that knob is relieved or you release the knob. Useable for the time being which is good in my case. Would appreciate another, or some kind of compensation. Will definitely change review to 5 star if I can be compensated or get a replacement. Seems like an excellent little unit if you just BE RESPONSIBLE with it. Maybe mine was just a defect. If that thing leaks while only holding the pilot down a bit skew, could be an easy way to lose or burn a hand. Not hating, love the unit, cheap, easy, simple. I may have just gotten a defect, definitely still useable though a bit dangerous. Not for the faint of heart, but definitely useable. Love you guys, be safe.

Replaced a failing and discontinued ITT General gas valve in my 42 year old gas furnace. It took about 30 minutes for our technician to re and re and do all the checks. All set now for another Canadian winter.

After 11 years the valve on my gas fireplace went bad. I purchased A Robertshaw valve 700 - 800 series for only $54. I purchased one that was “ gently used“. However, it was actually not used I think it was just sent to someone and they realized it was the wrong model and then they returned it. So I purchased it. When it arrived it had an Amazon sticker on the box that said “thanks to you, this product has a second life”Also, it arrived in two days.It was super easy and fast to install. I just took a picture of the old one before I took it out and copied the photo to install it.I Highly recommend buying your Robert shower valve from the Amazon warehouse, and filled by Amazon!

I ordered this valve based on other reviews, particularly one that said he used it for his old pool heater. I have a very old pool heater and took a gamble on this one. It works well. It has 3/4” fnpt and comes with 3/4-1/2” adapters. The pilot tube connection was in a different spot but was easily retrofitted. Biggest downfall was the month an a half to receive it as that was all of July any half of august but the pool heater is working and works well.
