About this item

  • Rochester Sensors R3D modules are certified as intrinsically safe for Class 1, Division 1, Groups C & D hazardous locations. Products are marked and approved by ETL, ATEX, UKCA, and CE. Certification and testing has been perform to standards.
  • The 9704 module requires a 3-5VDC input.
  • Does not include the required remote ready dial face

The Rochester 9704 module is designed to integrate with Rochester Sensors' Junior or Senior-sized R3D remote-ready dial lenses to provide a cost-effective, low-power solution for fluid level detection. The module detects the position of the fluid level indicator on the dial, converting this data into a ratiometric voltage output that can be read by wired or wireless monitoring devices. The voltage output (ranging from 0V to VCC) is proportional to the fluid level, with corresponding voltage-to-percentage tables available for all R3D dials. The 9704 module requires a 3-5VDC input and has low current consumption, making it suitable for battery-powered applications. It features a position-sensing integrated circuit and comes in both 90-degree and straight orientations. The durable molded polyamide casing ensures excellent insulation and protection from environmental factors. The module is connected to a monitoring system via a 6’ multi-conductor cable with UL Recognized black 600V, 105°C cable that is resistant to oil, water, UV, and cold. This module is ideal for low-power, remote level-sensing systems, offering fast communication and high accuracy. It converts the dial indicator's position into a voltage output proportional to the fluid level percentage, which can be used by monitoring systems. The module's three-wire cable includes supply voltage, ground, and a ratiometric output signal. Users are responsible for ensuring that the module's application meets all safety and performance standards.
