The Rockville K9 series has been our best selling series of subs and it just got even better! Say hello to the K9 V3. This sub is a game changer. We improved the performance and cooling like crazy! Our engineers did some minor tweaks that give major results for bassheads who like to abuse subs! Weather you are an every day user or someone who pushes the limits of your equipment the K9 V3 is for you! We made the following upgrades that will keep the voice coil cooler improving the subs ability to take constant abuse. 1. The dustcap was upgraded to the same one we use in our Punisher series. It is top of the line. Sure it increased our cost but we kept the low price the same! 2. We added an inner dustcap that stops heat from building up in the voice coil. We also made our pole vent smaller. The combination of these 2 changes keeps the voice coil significantly cooler when you are playing bass heavy songs or test tones. 3. We added a voice coil spacer that vastly improves the performance. 4. The cone has a smooth finish that allows the dustcap to be glued on more securely.

Rockville is one of the best budget friendly subs on the market. I am really impressed with the quality of of these subs at price you can get them for. Rockville definately made a customer for life with me and i would recommended anyone to just try them out, you will see for yourself.

The frequency response starts at 33Hz? Didn't see that when I bought it.. returning them for sure. Sounds weird at lower frequency of you like old disco type crap these are right for you.Update, hooked them up to a 2000 watt CT sound amp. 1 speaker each. So it should have been 2000watt to each sub... they lasted about 30 minutes! So that being known, I seriously doubt CT sound amps are actually 2000 watt (they're the same thing as scar audio) they can not handle 2000 watt.. let alone the 4k they claim. Pass these by, even for a budget build. High frequency response for a sub and they can't take half of their claimed power.

This thing sounds incredible. The bass is profound and clear. Nothing bad to say against it for now and I had it for a month and a half.

So far it's great. Running it on a pioneer class d8601 at 1ohm and it sounds great. Has a slight smell coming from it after about 29 min of heavy use even after breaking it in at 4ohms for about a week on same amp. Slightly concerned. Will update if failure. It's easy rated at 1000 wats rms so this small amount of wattage should hurt it I hope. Will give 5 stars if it last over a month. Updated this is 5/6/2021 so this thing has taken everything I have thrown at it for over a year. And I'm happy to say I am moving it to the wife's car and upgrading to the punisher series today. Staying with Rockville they have me sold on the product. Sounds amazing and last under hard long use.

I have this sub in a QBomb side ported box with bedliner and it's powered by the Rockville RDX-M1, the same amp I used to power the W12K6D2 (dual 2 ohm) that I was replacing. The difference between the two subs is night and day. The K6 in the same box would vibrate my nose hairs a little bit and shook the mirrors too. This K9 serie though, it vibrate every hair on my body. Even using an underpowered amp I have to turn the bass knob to zero so I can read street signs. This thing vibrates my freaking eyeballs. That's using an amp that's only rated at 500 RMS CEA rated. Best part is I didn't have to pay for the sub and no they didn't give it to me. Amazon doesn't accept returns but they will return your $ and tell you to donate it or toss it in the trash. Before it was delivered I planned on sending it back and planned on buying a Rockville Destroyer 12D2 12" instead. I'm glad I didn't because this sub in the Qbomb box with a way under powered amp is still in my top 2 subset ups I've owned and I've always bought name brand stuff never owned anything named BOSS or AudioPipe I was a Rockford Fosgate (best of their line stuff dating back to the 90's) but I really liked my 12" Kicker L7 paired with a 1000 watt 1000.1 kicker amp that was my best set up but it cost over $100 for the entire set up, self installed. You can get near the performance from this sub,a QBOMB side ported bx and a entry level M-1 series Rockville amp with 4 gauge install kit, upgrade the fuse to a circuit breaker, wire reducers (into the amp), banana plugs(into the amp & box terminals for under $37. If your building a system from scratch I would suggest buying the IGNITE R300/1D amp instead of a Rockville, it's $104 & $23 for a 3 yr warranty but for that $125 your going to get an amp that puts out like a prom date. Check youtube for the DYNO drag race, this IGNITE amp puts out 1100 watts (cea certified) at 1 ohm on the DYNO and 1122 watts uncertified.I know your saying I'm not buying some amp I never heard of but do yourself a favor and watch the youtube video and buy the 3 year protection plan and get a worry free 3 years of bass that will knock the dingleberries off your asss.

I have a single 12 k9 d2 in a 2.2 cubic ft box tuned to about 33hz running in a Rockford prime 750 (820 actual watts). This thing slams! I have visible flex on all 4 doors. If you can find a sub for less than 115 dollars shipped to my door that can do that then I’m all ears. It’s also built like a tank. I recently installed a pair of sundown sa 12’s and honestly the build quality is similar. It’s hard to compare sound between the 2 because the sundown setup was dual 12s but I think the k9 holds it’s own, and considering the sundowns cost almost twice the price. Also thought it worth mentioning that the first model of the k9 did have an issue with the glue and the dust caps were a little flexible. The model on amazon now are the new and improved version. on the box it says the glue is a high temp version and that the dust cap is “ultra stiff” and it is! Don’t go by the description for the box size it’s way to small. The manual that came with the box says 1.8 to 2.75 cubes. I kinda split the difference at 2.2 and it sounds really good. But generally the bigger you go the more efficient it becomes and the louder and deeper it will hit. I will update if anything happens in the future but as of right now I’m very satisfied!
