Very poor craftmanship makes this VERY hard to assemble!The mechanical tolerances on the legs are terrible and thick paint causes fitting problems, making a large mallet and great strength necessary to even begin to align it. When you screw in the "locking screws" they strip and would barely hold the tree.If your not a person of great upper body strength...this stand is not for you!

Great stand, have tree up currently and it works perfectly on carpet with no swaying or issues. Best way to initially set up is to have the tree laying on its side and slide the stand onto the tree. Easy tightening!

To call this a Christmas tree stand is hilarious. It can't hold a 6 foot Christmas at all. It deforms under the slightest tilt making the whole tree unstable. The metal is way too flimsy.

PLEASE NOTE that the inner ends of the arms must be captive within the two walls of the center “donut” rather than being in the “hole” of the donut. You’ll waste a lot of life dealing with it otherwise. How TF is this one of the most highly rated ones on Amazon? Once assembled it was at best “tolerably” stable but needed one leg together shimmed still. I would recommend this tree stand to all of my enemies but none of my friends.

If product is assembled and used as directed it works perfectly. It's far from foolproof. Be careful how the legs are lined up and be patient as guiding them into place is difficult because it's metal on metal with slots and tabs. Screws should also be carefully set into the tree evenly and gradually, one at a time, carefully realigning and balancing until steady. A flat cut of tree base is essential. Trimming up the bottom helps. Make sure to keep water full as that weight really helps secure the stand. Easier to use stands that are effective are much more expensive. Very satisfied. I anticipate using this stand for years to come.
