It fits fork mounted bike racks from any manufacturer and includes a set of three different axles (12x100, 15x100, and "boost" 15x110) for bikes of all types and styles.

Other products sold for this purpose are welded (often poorly). This is a one piece solid product with no blemishes or faults. The inserts easily allow you to change the size for your application. The insert being secured by two set screws (tool key included). For me, it fit my Trek Domane SL5 (12x100) axle. It then installed in my Volvo roof carrier (manufactured by Thule I believe). Having seen competing products in bike shops, I can say this is the best in class adapter for this purpose. Lifetime warranty as well. Buy it and be happy.

We have long used a "bike tight" rack in the back of our minivan. I works great for traditional bikes with rim breaks and drop outs on the forks. A new bike with disc breaks and closed fork axle is not compatible. This RockyMounts thru axle adapter is just what we needed. It is easy to install, has 3 different diameter axle sleeves, and is very secure. Great purchase!

Works great to convert my Thule rack to a through axle for my new boost mountain bike. Don't install the adapter first, put it on the bike and then lift it onto the car, otherwise it will probably tip over while you try to get your axle (found this out myself). Great price and can convert it for several different styles of bike.

The aluminum is soft enough to resist twisting when the quick release is tightened. I find the steel ones slip, causing the fork to change position with there being two pivot points. Only problem is with the set screws loosening. As someone noted, it is best to drill small indents in the thru axle adapter and then use Locktite to keep the screws secure.

New bike. New boost spacing. New thru-axle adapter for the old school quick release mount I have in my car. The thru-axle fit my 110x15 fork just fine. The teeth for the quick release mount I had has a pretty tight tolerance though, but it works and stays on tight. Cheaper than the Fork-Ups and works just as well.

Says it's not intended for Thule fork mount, and I get why with the low end Thule fork mount, it works loose. I have it mounted to my Thule echelon and it works amazing. I have had zero issues with it. Just make sure you get it mounted as tightly as possible!

I love Rocky Mount stuff. I have three of their bike trays mounted to a Yakima roof rack. The trays are solidly built and hold my bikes extremely well. Recently, I bought a gravel bike with a 12mm through axle. I put in the 12mm adapter, tightened down the two set screws, and mounted on the bike tray. So far, so good. About 15 miles down the road, I heard some banging around coming from the roof. I pulled over and discovered that the 12mm adapter insert loosened and was sliding back and forth about 1/16" - 1/8th of an inch. The bike wasn't in any danger of coming off but why the slop? I had the hex key with me so tightened down the set screws once more. Again, the 12mm adapter started its side to side movement again. When I got home, I took out the set screws and slid out the adapter. I centered the adapter back inside of the main unit and center punched two holes on the ridge of the aluminum adapter. Then, carefully, I used a drill press and drilled two approximately 1/8 diameter holes about 1/8' deep. I went to a hardware store and bought two very strong stainless steel set screws slightly longer than the original soft aluminum ones. Now, when I tighten down the set screws, they enter into the small recesses I drilled and the sliding problem no longer exists. The stainless screws also enable you to torque down more for more holding power. It was a 10 minute fix that cost about $1.50. If Rocky Mounts would pre-drill these holes in the three adapters they supply, they would have the very best through axle adapter on the market- one that would rate 10 stars!
