The only problem I have with my trolling motor is that the up lock does not work well. This fixes the problem. It is very sturdy and easily secures your trolling motor. It does not matter how rough the water is, with this tie down strap, you do not have to worry about your trolling motor being jarred loose.

I bought this to replace a rotten rod saver product on my trolling motor. The installation was a breeze as I used the existing holes to mount. The strap holds securely and is easy to adjust. Simply install the strap with the velcro centered over the trolling motor shaft and tighten with the buckle. You can either snip off the excess and pin the 2" tail with the plastic rivets or just leave it as is.

The product itself is fine, although the pre-burned holes in the strap are not perpendicular to the side. Also the printed instructions indicate 1/16 inch holes should be drilled for the mounting screws. That is incorrect; 1/8 inch holes are required.
