I recently made a decorative door for a breaker box that is located just to the left of our kitchen sink. One of a few "upgrades" to a house we've had for over 40 years! After all was done, I could have just put a small magnetic catch there rather than a push to open latch, but the latch certainly works as intended, and is a little sexier than a plain old magnetic latch. Getting just the right positioning of the latch body is a little tricky, but was accomplished with some double stick tape until I found just the right spot where the toggle would work. Once determined, it can be screwed into place. Positioning of the knob was done with red paint on the magnet part and closing the door. The screw that holds the small metal plate for the magnet doubles as the screw that holds the knob on. (had to countersink the plate somewhat to make the head flush.) It works great, but the door can be opened by simply pulling on the knob.

Most of the time when you buy an inexpensive component like this it comes with cheap screws that strip the first time you install it. Not this time! The screws are of high quality and did not strip even after I had to install multiple times.

I installed these 2 magnetic cabinet door latches w/metal plates & they are working perfectly. I'm not a professional builder & it doesn't come with any instructions. So for me, the installation of these latches are a bit tricky to get the perfect distance to secure the cabinet door & still pop it open upon pressing. But once I got it in proper position, it worked perfectly. Magnet is strong enough to hold door closed & spring is strong enough to pop open when pushed. So far, a well-made and well functioning item.

Not sure if it is just my cabinet but sometimes I will come in and find the door standing open. Not often. In general these work well and did not take a lot to install.
