About this item

  • Official Roland rechargeable battery pack for select amplifier models
  • Easy to install and remove
  • Longer runtime than using AA batteries
  • Allows the amplifier to deliver more output power and SPL than what’s possible with standard batteries
  • Premium design with safe, efficient, and reliable NiMH (nickel-metal hydride) battery

The Rechargeable Amp Power Pack offers a convenient reusable power solution for select Roland mobile amplifiers that support battery operation, including the CUBE Street EX, AC-33 Acoustic Chorus, and other models. The one-piece design pops easily into the back of the amplifier, eliminating the need to fuss with multiple AA-size batteries. But the benefits don’t stop there—you also get up to twice the runtime over standard batteries, and the amplifier delivers output power and SPL that’s nearly equivalent to using the AC adaptor.*

I had the same problem of DOA Dead on Arrival as all these other reviews and of course I didn’t read the manual completely so I asked Chat GPT. It pointed me to the manual and told me this:•Try unplugging and plugging the adaptor into the DC IN jack several times. Once the voltage reaches a level where charging is possible, the FAIL indicator turns off, the CHARGE indicator blinks and you can keep charging. This worked for my battery off Amazon. I had to plug it in, wait about 2 seconds, unplug it and wait 2 seconds. Repeated that about 10ish times and then it started charging. The reason I didn’t try this the first time is I DID NOT have a Fail light. It would blink 3 times but would just never charge. After doing this though, it blinked 3 times and actually started charging with slow blinks. They should make this more obvious as all the Amazon buyers are complaining they are DOA but this is apparently a known issue with all NIMH type batteries. The issue is they have gone dead in the warehouse and need to be kicked back into gear with this method.I will update my Stars after using this for a month.

These batteries are just as bad as the reviews have mentioned. Thus far I have received 2 and neither one has changed, and, yes, I have the correct charger. Very poor quality control.

Item was Dead on Arrival. Will not accept a charge from a genuine Roland known good charger. No response from Roland Customer Service. Seems like it would be a great alternative to replacing or charging mutliple AA batteries, but not if it can only be used as a paperweight.

I purchased two of these batteries. Neither one will charge and roll on customer support says it is a bad batch. Amazon will not take the return and Rowland will not replace. Do not order these batteries.

Thought maybe we were going to be lucky - but like all the others - doesn't charge. And the process to get an exception refund is not a simple "amazon return". Better to go to a Roland dealer and have them order it so you deal with your local store when it doesn't work.

Return this item as I have ordered another one hoping it’s just a defective battery

I bought the Roland KC-220 a few years ago and LOVE it. Works great as a small PA for the bluegrass group I play with. Works great for playing music while I'm working in the yard. Performs flawlessly as a monitor for my synthesizers and drum machines. This power pack extends ALL those uses. You get more useable output volume and runs for a much longer time as opposed to AA batteries. You will need the AC adaptor that came with your KC-220 to recharge it.
