All tools are made from 3/8" round solid stock and finished in Black powder coating. I never paid attention to the length and that's my fault, duh. Anyway it doesn't match the rest of our set, and too expensive and too short. Other than that its a cast iron shovel to clean ash from your wood stove and does the job.

Most ash shovels are cheap, stamped steel from who knows where. This shovel is sturdy and just the right length. Too short and you cannot reach the back of the fireplace. Too long and you cannot maneuver it without bumping into something. Thank you!
