It is the Lightest lightweight jacket I've ever had. No insultating lining at all. Wear a different jacket if temp is going to dip below 70's. It's a nice looking wind breaker

Terrible quality, no insulation, when you turn it inside out to show the orange, you can see the green shwoing through. Spend more money - and get a real quality flight jacket.

The jacket I received appeared to have no lining at all, or at least not enough to give the jacket any volume. I've owned several of these jackets, they are supposed to be puffy, this one was about as puffy as a rain slicker.Full disclosure, I also had inadvertently purchased the wrong size.

The MA-1 has been a fashion item for decades, appropriated by just about every culture and subculture, it was only fitting that Rothco should make a lightweight version with all the style and none of the bulk. On arrival I have to admit to raising an eyebrow at the 15" X 12" flat envelope it arrived in but without all that padding it's surprisingly foldable. What sets Rothco apart from companies churning these out for fast fashion is the attention to detail. The cuffs and waist are made of generous soft knit and all the zips buttons and hardware are made of good reliable quality with spares attached in the event of breaking a zip falling out of your Whirley bird or off your skateboard. Sizing tends to be generous around chest and waist but pay attention to the shoulder width and sleeve length as the Rothco seems less generous with this proportion, though anticipates this by the wide spectrum of sizes. I'm a pretty solid medium and the large fits generously enough to layer underneath, so Sizing up by 1 should avoid disappointment. Quality of workmanship could be better, I noticed a few loose ends which while didn't affect the integrity of the stitching cheapens the initial impression of a Rothco jacket. The outer shell has changed somewhat over the years the quality is still very high but the sheen is a lot duller than it used to be which is a slight disappointment. For the money though this is a lot of jacket and it's really worth spending a little higher than what the cheaper knockoffs retail for, as this will last a lot longer and your boyfriend or girlfriend will appreciate the quality when they steal it from you. I haven't had an MA-1 for quite a while and I'm totally loving it!
