I received USED steps! Scratches, chips, dirt.. The welding on these are absolutely awful! Looks like a toddler welded them. And the material quality is horrible. Cheap metal. I decided to go ahead and have them installed after arguing with the company, just to find that regardless of what the description says, there is still a gap with these.. All around awful situation.. Update- The company WILL NOT PAY for return shipping! Currently fighting to get a prepaid return label. Shipping cost is the same as the price of the steps and they will not pay for it. You've been warned- Do NOT buy these piece of crap steps! You will not get a refund or be able to return them!

They look great, but install was a pain. Brackets did not line up with cab mounts. Had to do some adjusting to make them fit, and even then I was only able to get 3 of the 4 bolts to line up. You could tell that the brackets were welded slightly off. After figuring that out it was not too bad. All hardware was included and had printed instructions in box. Even with 3 bolts they still feel pretty sturdy. If I purchase step rails again I would try another brand.

I can’t tell you how disappointed I am in this product. I had researched for a while and finally decided on these particular step up bars. When my husband and I opened the box, we immediately saw that there was powder coating missing from one of the bars. These rails are not well protected during the shipping process. Since I needed these bars, we started with the process of putting them on my Gladiator. All the bolts and things were there, SO WE THOUGHT. Once we got the defective bar on the passenger side, we started on the drivers side. Luckily, the drivers side had no chips or scratches on the bar. BUT, while going through the application process, we realized that 8, yes 8 of the black bolts were missing. I was already disappointed with the defective bar and now missing bolts. We had to remove four from the passenger side to place on the drivers side to secure the bar as best we could. Once we had both bars on the truck, we noticed that the drivers side bar fit much better than the defective bar on the passenger side, that we had installed first. (I am not surprised honestly) I am hoping that Rough Country will do something to rectify this situation. With winter coming fast, I am sure it won’t be long before the defective bar starts to rust. Receiving a replacement bar seems like the only solution.*Update to this review, already starting to rust….added new photo.

These rails look great! Where they fall short is the horrific quality…or the lack of quality with the brackets and mounting system. The welded plates on the back side have a welded nut in them. Out of the 16 total nuts, I had to drill or tap 9 of them. They were so off location that the bolts wouldn’t even start. If they did start, the bolt would cross thread and strip. I ended up using my own bolts due to this. TheBrackets were so crooked that they all had to be tweaked to try to get an even gap to the body…mine still aren’t right. I will have to heat and bend the brackets to try and get them correct. These are expensive but they assemble like cheap junk. Luckily they look nice. Nobody can see the mess on the inderside.

Started off with some issues and had some difficulty installing. Instructions did not come in the box. Found the instructions online! Only found one install video that was not developed by Rough Country. It was a boof video. I finally broke down and called Rough Country. The guy answered on the first ring. Told him my issues he walked back to the shop to figure out what I was talking about. He sent me diagrams over email I sent him pictures of my issues via email and he got me squared away. Long story short. They have one of the best costumer service programs I have ever called!!!!

I have a 2020 GladiatorI love them first off. So I would give it a 4.5 star rating. Not. 4.0. But Amazon does not allow this.Reason I took off .5 of a starI had to demel off a nub on the gladiator Also had to pinch together the siding under the gladiator siding on both driver and passenger sides. (The most forward of the brackets toward the front of the gladiator) This is the way the Jeep is made. Easy modifications not hard. Added another 45 min to the total install. Nothing big if you love tools like I do. :)Because this was the way the Jeep was made I had to drill out the RC country holes just one on each side to get the bolts to slide through the attach.Again same bracket as mentioned above!Again nothing big. I expect this on just about anything after market. It never is always a perfect fit. If it is you are a lucky man. This added another 30 min. Or 15 minutes a side to drill through the RC country steel on the step itself. Drilled slowly to prevent sheer and pre bite that can jerk a drill out of your hand.I had to go to Home Depot to get to additional screws, washers, lock washers and bolts to complete this install because the ones sent where to short. No a big deal added cost was under 3$. I put lock tight (red) on my install as well to prevent reverse slide out of the bolts. All and all it turned out great. I’m debating now if I want an RC front bumper or not with winch option.Or and EAG bumper with Winch option.Anyone have a 2020 Gladiator with a full bumper from either of these? It would be great to kindly get shared feedback on you expirence with the install. Good off-roading all!I’ll update this with pictures shortly of my install and under carriage bolt mods
