This holster wing initially made a big improvement in comfort and concealment. I carry a Walter PPS M2 with an 8 round magazine and it is almost unnoticeable when appendix-carried with an IWB holster and wing. Unfortunately the material this product is made of began to bend after about 100 hours of carry time. It is still functional, but the amount of give that the wing/arm has defeats the purpose of using a “tall” pad on it. I personally feel like the amount of flexibility present in the wing makes it less effective for concealment. I would be interested to see this product offered in a less pliable material, such as titanium.

Used with my Gen 1 Bravo Concealment Holster with TLR-1HL on G19 and a Vortex Red dot. What a major difference. I was living in the stone age before not having a claw. Hole spacing was perfect, and the hardware it came with was great. I did have to use the backer nuts that I already had with the Bravo Concealment holster. Construction is beefy and well thought out. Value is great ($15 at time of this review). Places the grip much closer to my body, can easily hide the full frame in my waistline. I'm 5'10 and 160 lbs. Size M T-shirt for reference. If you still haven't, get a claw for your IWB holster. It will change your life.

This review is for the standalone holster claw upgrade. I already had a concealment express IWB kydex holster I’d purchased previously, and it’s been fine, but sometimes uncomfortable and sometimes prints the butt end of the firearm’s hand grip too much.After reading about how helpful a “modwing” could be, I checked to see if C.E. offered a direct-fit bolt on claw/modwing for their holsters, and they do.There’s not much to be said about install — took all of 4 minutes. Instructions are on a slide in the manufacturer’s item description. Nothing complex. You’ll need a #1 Phillips (the smaller of the two usual sizes) screwdriver and a wide straight blade driver or a dime or something (or just smash your thumb into them) to keep the threaded backer screws from spinning.I test-wore the holster immediately after install, and WOW what a difference in both comfort AND reduced printing! It’s amazing how much of a difference this little piece of plastic makes. If you’re unhappy with the comfort and printing of your existing Concealment Express kydex holster, don’t hesitate — grab one of these. The claw fits the Concealment Express holster perfectly. It’s nice it comes with two risers for the claw; I used the lower riding riser, as the higher riding riser made my belt stick out too much (I’m a shorter man, w/30” waist). Instructions on YT made installing easy, but I could’ve figured it out without the video. Appears to be solid, but I’ll leave my judgment for a later date. As others indicated, it does work by pushing the grip of the pistol into the body. As for comfort, I think it’s as comfortable as an IWB carry rig can be - should be secure, not necessarily “comfortable”. The holster is a good value, but would like to have the claw included for the price of the holster.

Let’s begin with the body that this holster needed work with: 5’2” - 147 LBS - Pooh Bear tummy and 38DD girls.Firearm: Walther CCP M2Desired Conceal Carry Position: Cross body Appendix Carry - 2 o’clockDraw: Left HandedI am happy to report for conceal carry of this firearm I am in 7th Heaven! The fit is comfortable. The conceal is supreme with only the slightest of imprint hints of not the firearm itself but the belt clip - an easy fix with a flare style blouse or shirt.A few other things that were extremely important to me besides near zero imprinting and which I give a 5 star rating for are as follows.1- Smooth access for quick draw. If you have girls you know it is a challenge to position your firearm in such a way that not only your clothes but your girls don’t get in the way of access, or a steady crisp and quick draw. Here is where the ability to adjust the cant of the holster as well as the 'Posi-Click' Retention are worth their weight in gold!2- I am able to sit, squat, bend, twist, turn, run and jump without my firearm dislodging from holster OR carry position.3 - I love that the Mag release, trigger and sights are shielded4- Last but not least: all day long comfort! Now if I only could find a bra this comfortable 😷
