This fireplace hearth protector is thick and soft, providing good protection and peace of mind if you have small toddlers. Installation was simple since it comes pre-taped with 3M adhesive, but after a few weeks, it started to separate from the bottom. Not sure if it was due to the heat or weak adhesive, but I did clean the surface before applying it. I ended up using industrial double-sided tape to keep it in place, which worked better. The material itself feels dense yet soft, and it’s flame-resistant, which is a plus. If the adhesive were stronger, it would be a great product, but you may need extra reinforcement to keep it secure over time.

Not flexible at all!. Placed it around fireplace. It has indentation to bend but even after placing small hand weights on both sides, for days, it flips back up & looks hideous

I ordered this cushioning to help us babyproof the house now that our little one is crawling and starting to pull up on furniture. Specially, I wanted to use this tape on a heavy beveled wooden coffee table in the middle of our living room. The corner pieces work well, sticking to the table and providing good cushioning. However, the long edge pieces, which have to bend and curve lengthwise to wrap around the table edge, are having more trouble staying stuck around the edge because the material is thick and it wants to pop back open to lay flat, and not bend in three places around the table. Our table's edge is also carved with some details in the wood, so it makes it even harder for the long adhesive strips to attach and stay down. On top it that, our curious toddler grabs at the long strips and tries to peel them off. We kept the corner pieces to at least protect the baby from sharp corners but had to come up with another solution for the edges.

This is so much better than the stuff I had before! (Last photo)I needed some cushioning on the tile window sill behind my couch, since my toddlers love to jump on the couch and have often hit their heads on the tile.First of all, it’s so much easier to apply. I love that it comes with the adhesive already applied. It makes installation so much easier, not having to try to apply a straight tape to a rolled up object. The way it starts flat and gets bent downward allowed me to apply it extremely straight, as opposed to the already curved cushion I had before, which ended up looking wavy after installation.Secondly, it looks so much classier than the thick stuff I had before. And it’s easier to cut to size, since it’s so thin. It’s thick enough to provide a good cushion against the edge, but not so thick that it’s unmanageable.Highly recommend. I will absolutely get this kind again if I need to baby proof more edges in the future.

This feels very cushy and good quality. There is no odor to it. The adhesive feels strong however we have had issues with it not sticking. We are using it in a different manner. My daughter has balance issues and runs into the corner of the wall so we are trying to use it on the wall corner. Unfortunately it keeps pulling off the wall even though the paint is not glossy or slippery at all. It is a textured wall though. We used the corner pieces on a dresser. They extend down further than needed but seem to be sticking well. The other issue we encountered is the color. When I first opened it I was in a room with a mid toned bright LED light. It gave the appearance it was light blue in color. So then I took it to a room with a warmer white light and it appeared to be gray. It really depends a lot on the lighting and the backgrounds it is against as to what color it appears but it is not what I would consider as off white.

Pre-made corners make for a much neater installation. You just need to match up straight cuts between the corners. I needed the larger size of these thick bumpers and so far the tape appears to to have strong adhesion. No issues
