It also comes with a unique lyre holder for marching. It comes standard with a trigger on the third valve slide and three water keys. Also included is a light weight case with back pack assembly.

Das Horn hat eine leichte Ansprache im unteren Bereich sowie im mittleren. Gute Intonation. Negativ Schraube für das Mundrohr klemmt nicht sauber. Anlieferung Ventile sind nicht zu gebrauchen. Erst nach mehrmaligen Reinigen und Ölen wird das Flügelhorn spielbar . Diese handwerkliche Mängel reduziert somit das Gesamtbild für ein wirklich gelungenes Flügelhorn.

I really like it. I did buy a different mouthpiece and it plays really well.Updated addition to review: I took it to Warburton instrument company and got a custom mouth piece.They also removed a small burr in the lead pipe.Now it plays even better.

Just received the one star returned one, absolutely sod all wrong with it,straight away saw it had No 2 mouthpiece,,,, that's what was wrong,put 7c in it and happy days lovely bit of kit,,so take the one star off totally undeserved,anymore that is not liked let me know, well worth the 150 instead of 550 still would be worth it,but hey happy days.

I'm a professional trumpeter and have owned and played pro level horns. I needed a backup flugelhorn while getting my regular flugel overhauled. After hearing another trumpeter brag about this Roy benson flugelhorn, and considering its low price, I decided to order it. Mine came from Germany. Also I wanted a flugel that looked close to the one I already owned, so that was a factor.I'm very pleased with this flugelhorn and surprised in how well it plays. I was expecting a lesser quality playing horn because of the price, but It plays good and it also has good intonation. The notes lock in easy for me, and its not a horn that I feel I have to fight to blow, like some cheaper horns do. It's a very pretty flugelhorn too. I just haven't found a flaw with it.My flugel came with a black case, and while it's obviously not a high end case, it will serve it purpose for storage OK. It has zippers pockets, top and side handles, shoulder straps, and includes a mouthpiece. I have to push the leadpipe all the way back in to put the flugel back in its case. I will use this case for closet storage and use my regular gig bag instead for gigs. I have no worries using this flugelhorn on my gigs. The valves work OK as is (after a good oiling) but I will probably replace the springs eventually to suit my taste.I'm glad to get this flugelhorn, and would order one again if I needed a replacement in this price range.

Bought this April 2017 for 299.99.I'm a longtime trumpet player who doubles on flugel. I've normally played flugels that cost $1500-3000 in the past, and main instrument was always a Yamaha 631, so this appealed to me, being an obvious Yamaha knock-off. I was honestly curious, and knowing Amazon's return policy, I figured it was worth a shot.Anyway, I'm blown away at the quality of this for the price. The valves work well (the springs are a little too strong for my taste, but that's a 3 dollar fix) and the intonation is as good as you can expect from an instrument costing what it does. I am satisfied with the intonation. For the price, this is a steal. If it was stolen today, I'd buy another one tomorrow, with no hesitation. The case is chinzy, but it does the job.

I bought this for my son. He plays trumpet in band and wanted one to have. This sounds better than I thought it would. The band director said it real good.

Dark mellow sweet sound with the right mouth piece valves are just ok they could be smoother. Yes i would recomend this flugel to anyone intermidiate level and up.

This instrument was a Xmas gift for my son. He was excited to receive it but after playing it a little bit, he noticed a change in the sound. His HS Band Director looked at it and thinks it has an air leak in the spit valve. Rather than go to all the trouble of packing it up and sending it back, we have decided to get it repaired locally. Other than this minor issue, it is a very nice instrument for the price. Basically, it seems well made and has good valve action and a nice sound.
