We have used these on one trip so far but they work great. Hold good sized baits and will release upon a solid hit. Just what was expected. Reasonable priced for our tournament fishing here in NC

i actually cut the mono off mine and slid em directly on halyard. gives a much better angle from boat to line. trip weight is very sensitive though, you'll adjust ever so slightly cuz it's too tight, then it's too loose. definitely like better than the blacks though, even though the blacks work fine.

I demand a lot from the gear we fish on this boat. If it doesn't function the way it's supposed to or creates complications it gets tossed, that simple. These will be staying on the boat. Just a great performing product all around. The more time gear spends in the water fishing the way it's supposed to equals more fish brought to the boat and these releases help do just that. Made by fisherman for fisherman it seems. Well done R&R

20 pound test braid will not stay in the clip. I contacted the owner of the company. He said he was going to send me something that would work. This has been months ago still nothing from the owner. If you use light line these will not work for you.

I love these clips. Very easy to use; very easy to adjust the tension, and very easy to install. They are mirror images and labeled with a R & L so you know which clip goes on which side. There are no rolling parts in which a line can get stuck and break off (I had that problem with the Rupp clips). The only issue I have with the clips, and the reason they got 4 stars instead of 5 is that they are silent when they release. Most other clips I have used make a "click" noise when a fish hits or the line otherwise pops out of the clip. That serves as an audible warning that a fish has hit. These clips make no noise at all. So, if it isn't a big fish, or if you catch weed, you don't realize it is out of the clip until you look over at the pole. I would love these clips if there was some type of click that you could hear when it released.
