These jeep hood latches look decent and mostly latches. Can get it to install ok. Could be better to upgrade to some locking mechanism.

The locks are poor quality. One broke within 2 months after install. The springs push the latches back to the locked position when the hood is up, making it difficult to close the hood.

Hmmmm, easy to install but its looks is just for security. The latch bends easily to break into the engine compartment. The spring design makes it a little difficult to open and close the hood.

In my honest opinion these are straight trash they must be more for looks they come with a chop and lock The locking mechanism works I don't know what they were thinking with this lock All you got to do is force it a little bit and it breaks the lock which is ridiculous they look nice but they're horrible Don't waste your money

These are really cool-looking hood latches for a Jeep Wrangler. Unfortunately we have had them awhile and havent had a chance to install them because in order to get the old ones off we have to separate the hood to get to the screws.Just from inspecting them without installing, they look and feel like decent quality construction. We have a 2011 Wrangler and they do fit, though again installation is daunting. I inserted and turned the keys to check the lock mechanism and it moves freely so it doesnt appear that will be an issue.Overall, these latches give a rugged look to your Jeep, but dont plan on a quick install.
