This item works great, I just wish it lasted as long as the dustpan and broom did. I have to keep buying this item so I don't have to buy it with a new DP and broom.

I needed an hanger for my broom and dustpan at work and thought this would work well since the place I work at uses rubbermaid dustpans. Upon recieving the hanger, its comes with a screw and the hanger to install onto your dustpan. Fairly easy and takes some to get it right. You can screw it tigher or looser depending on your broom.Now for it practicality, it's quite incosistent, The hanger fits with only some of the dustpans. I had 2 different dustpans from rubbermaid and it only fit one of them. The other one was too thin and if you screw it to the max. It would slide off. What I did was put some duct tape around the dustpan and was able to secure it. But its a temp. solution as the duct tape wears and you had to reapply it. The other issue is the hanger for the brooms only fits smaller/medium size brooms. Can't really put it on brooms with wider handles or heavier ones. Something to consider.For the design; It could use some improvements for sure. The 2 biggest issue is the holder for the broom gets worn easily and eventually would break. I replaced 2 of them after 2-3 months of use before I just gave up and use the hanger primarily only as a dustpan hanger. The other problem is the hanger where you hang the dustpan hanger should be longer. This is especially probemaltic if you put it on your trash bin while moving it. It comes sometimes depending on terrian or how fast you pushing it. If you hang it on a stationary postion its fine.Overall the hanger is ok and probably the only one available on the market. But the price has increased dramatically over the years. I bought 1 a few years ago for $7 - $8 and it has since jumped to almost $13. Hence 2 stars overall.

This bracket does not fit on the Rubbermaid 2531 lobby dust pan. The dust pan handle is too narrow to clamp into the clip. Why would they make a clip that does not fit their own products?

This item looks fairly sturdy but beware--within a month of installing it on my pan (which is the exact pan this accessory was made for), one of the arms that holds the broom snapped clean off. I was not rough on the product and used it as directed. Waste of money, I am getting a replacement in the hope that this one was just defective in manufacture (I will update the review if the next one lasts longer)

This bracket is made from durable plastic and is easy to install on the handle at your preferred height and angle. The bracket has a sturdy grip so the broom doesn’t fall but it doesn’t require much effort to pull the broom from the dust pan. I am very happy with this bracket and have several. I recommend.

Does two things very well. Keeps the companion Lobby broom bristles from developing a bend. Hangs both the lobby broom and dust pan on the edge of a garbage can for quick access and easy storage.

Great for storing the matching broom on the handle. It prevents it from getting misplaced that way.
