The fuse cap on my original Rule 41 broke when I checked the fuse so I replaced it with a new Rule 41 switch. One year after installing it I checked the fuse and the cap broke again! It's a ridiculously cheap product and when the plastic cap breaks the switch doesn't work. I bought a Rule because of the name and I wanted a premium product but this is anything but premium....except for the price. I can't understand why Rule would make such a crappy product! I ended up replacing my new Rule with a Seaflow 3-way bilge pump switch and couldn't be happier. It's better quality and looks much nicer than the Rule plus it's cheaper. Not that price should be a consideration when picking components for your bilge pump.....something Rule doesn't seen to realize.

Bought a boat and old bilge switch was beaten up from many years outdoors. Installed new one and looks great. Same wiring as old, no problems and is working perfect!

I did a complete over hall of my two bilge pumps and decided to go all the way and replace working switch panels simply because if you ever had a bilge pump not work when you need it you get paranoid. Yes, that happened to me so I switched out everything. These switches work great. Highly recommend.

I changed out the 40 year old bilge pump switch on my 1978 Cape Dory 27. I was a simple wire for wire swap. No reasons I can see that it won't provide equal performance.

As the owner of an ocean fishing boat, bilge pumps are a big deal to me. Mine came with 2 pumps, one setup to be an automatic on. One of the died (the automatic one) and while replacing them both I ran into a situation where I needed to replace the switch. The default dash switch did NOT have an auto setting (it was in the pump itself) and to make life easy, I added this Rule switch.It was a snap to install (after drilling the appropriate sized holes) and wire (along with the Rule pumps I upgraded to) and looks rather 'stock' in my dash - not like an add on that it is. It's good to have the option to run my pumps in AUTO or manually run them. But therein lies the reason for the 4 stars and NOT 5 - the manual option is a 'momentary on' (return to off when released) switch. I would have preferred a constant on, but that's personal choice. But either way it's a good switch, and the light for when the pumps come on automatically is a bonus as well. No alarm to sound, so hopefully I notice the light.But all in all, I am very happy with this safety addition to my boat.
