Buyer beware. This model Rule apparently is renowned for inoperable "automatic" float switches. I purchased one April of 22'. Everything worked as expected until mid-summer when the automatic switch failed to activate. I was fine with using the manual button for the rest of the season. I purchased my second Rule 1100 this past April. I guess I got lucky with the first one because this float switch did not work from jump street. I checked the wiring several times. No debris stuck in the propeller. While looking through different forums on what brand I should have gone with the first time, I learned my experiences with the Rule 1100 were not isolated. The problem primarily seems to be with the 1100. You're welcome.

This is a very nice pump. It is compact, quiet and has a built in float switch. It is just loud enough for you to know it is running; just a slight hum and not annoying. I use the 12 volt version. It almost completely removes the water it is standing it.The built in float switch works well. Really nice to not have to install an independent switch.If you do not have much space, this is good pump for you.

This bilge pump is over a third smaller than the one it replaces. The old one just died. This one functions well and the extra space around it makes cleaning the bilge and the intake strainer far easier.

Bought this hesitantly thinking it would be to small for my boat, but it works great pumps out faster then the original pump from factory. Due to the design on my boat my bilge takes on water when the kids climb in and out of the boat soaked in water and this pump keeps it nice and dry
