Guys I paired this sweater with a tan shirt and tan pants,added a 👔 and my hubby was looking very classy. I haven't laundered it yet! So I can't speak to that! The color was accurate.

With winter coming, I wanted to get my husband a sweater he could thro on over a button down shirt for the holidays… this sweater is a bit roomy on him. I sized up from his usual Large to an XL to allow for layering (and because he doesn’t like things tight), but I should’ve gone with his true size. There would still be plenty of room for layering. The gray is exactly like the pics and it’s nice and thick. The only thing he didn’t like was the buttons. They’d look better if wood or dark bronze. These have a cheap distressed look to them, and he thought they kinda ruined the look. I don’t think the buttons are a deal breaker, but that’s why I took off a star. This would make a great Christmas gift for a guy in his 40’s (like my husband) or older. It is mature looking and classic.

I took a chance on the gray color because in the photos it looks like a novel grayish blue which I would have liked. Upon receipt it is just a boring cool gray. The photos of the gray color are not at all accurate.It came with many deep wrinkles. It has no tags, so if giving as a gift, you can pre-wash it for the recipient to de-wrinkle it and make a better presentation.It’s a 3-gauge (thick) 1x1 rib. The solid color fabric looks very acrylic but does have 10% polyamide (AKA nylon), so is soft and not scratchy. It is slightly brushed on both sides as well, so the surface feels smoother than it is. Expect it to pill over time as it is all synthetic.The sizing is true, or to the larger side if anything. My millennial son is a teacher and seems to like this grandpa/professor style sweater. The pockets come in handy.
