About this item

  • Package includes: You will receive 30pcs ski & snowboard boots J bars, whose thickness is 3mm,4mm and 5mm to meet your different needs and preferences.
  • Quality Material: Our padded cushion is made of firm neoprene foam, which makes it easier to taper the edges of the padding inserts. If you want extra filler, you can stack two bars on top of each other to make a thicker pad.
  • Self-adhesive Backing: Each pad comes with self-adhesive backing. To remove the backing, pull down on black foam first, and then pull up on the adhesive backing after it begins to separate, then apply the sticky side to your boot liner.
  • Practical Effect: Works effectively for people with narrow ankles to rectify heel lift, eliminates blisters on the back of the heel from rubbing in the boot and brings snug boot fit.
  • Instruction: Apply the pads behind the protruding ankle bones on your boot liners. Then use the self-adhesive backing to stick each pad to the liner. If necessary, cover each pad with duct tape for added security.

used it on snowboard boots with heel left. definitely helped.however, would recommend looking for pads with rounded edges and it will be better not creating pressure points.Pro: adhesive very good. once applied will not come off.

There are a bunch of different sizes of these j-bars, fyi. I thought they were all the same size but when you open up the package you'll see that there are different sizes. These have helped me with my snowboard boots since putting them on. If you feel a lot of pressure on either side of your ankle, you need to adjust the location of the j-bar; don't just accept that and move on - make sure the boot fits you comfortably with the j-bar attached. I'd avoid putting duct tape on the j-bars until you've got confirmation that they feel comfortable with your boot on.

Adhesive holds very well, there's enough in the pack for trial and error, putting the pads in the correct place, as well as adding extra pads to get the proper thickness.

Bought this to improve fit of my new ski boots. My heel was lifting up in all boots I’ve tried on. Was able to reduce heel lift and shim a problem area to alleviate pressure. I was able to get inside booties in and out a few time and shims stayed on. I bought my boots online without trying them on. We just getting into skiing and there’s lots to learn about the gear. This was helpful

I used these to fill in the toe box of my ski boots. I now have a tighter fit and the boots will hopefully last me a few more years. Highly recommend these!

This is a set of foam pads that can be used in ski boots to help fill in space or pad areas that may be uncomfortable. There is nothing less comfortable in this world that poor fitting ski boots. They are so stiff that they've even tried to make them less like performance ski boots and more like snowboarding boot. The stiffness is needed though for good control of the skis so having a way to fill in some gaps in boots are helpful.I plan to use these on rental boots when I need them. The best way to make boots feel better to to get them properly fitted with good liners. These pads might help when using boots that aren't properly fitted or boots that you dont intend to use very often. For what they are, they work. They aren't very soft though since they're foam and are intended to take up space. For now, I'm not sure on their utility so 3 stars until I can find good uses for them.

I haven't had a chance to get to the slopes yet to check these out, but I have fitted a pair into my snowboard boots and have tested them for fit and comfort. I am thin build with skinny legs but long feet (sz 13) wich has always comlicated my getting ski boots or snowboard boots that fit. Lager sized boots are sized for normal people, and I am always left with my boots fiting lose in the ankle and shin area. This has led to lack of control and feel. I don't ski anymore since I took up snowboarding (it is way safer than sking for me - I have both feet working to gether which really saves my knees), but I still have firment issues with my boots. I am hoping these reduce the heel lift I experience with toe side turns and firm up my response on my boards. I fitted the pair to the outside of my inner boots, and then checked them out with them in my boots. I had to remove them and reposition them a little lower, but now they definetely make my boots fit tighter around my ankles!. I think these are going to work out great, and if i need more, I can just add another pair over the ones i already have installed.
