I was looking for baseball pants that have a wide leg opening, which our team calls "Manny" pants (after the style worn by Manny Ramirez). Based on the "boot cut" description, I purchased these pants. The opening is not as wide as I had hoped, and if the pants were jeans would be considered "straight leg." Also, based on the other reviews, I ordered a larger size for him. I ordered a medium, and he usually wears a small (he is 5'9"). The pants are too long and too baggy. Otherwise they are of OK quality, although on the thin side. We will probably keep them, and I will get them hemmed.

These are great pants, Comfortable and well made. Only thing is that the sizing chart is a little small. I am 6'3" 219 lbs, 35-36 inch waist. The pants fit just perfect around the waist but tight around the legs. Consider 1 size bigger then you usually wear.
