Rust Kutter is a balanced formula that causes rust to chemically change to phosphate. A coat of paint attaches itself so closely to the metal that moisture and oxygen cannot attack the surface, resulting in a much longer paint job.

Step 1

STEP 1

Remove any loose rust with a wire brush or wire wheel. Rust must be present for product to work.

Step 2

STEP 2

Spray or paint on Rust Kutter.

Step 3

STEP 3

Rinse & let dry. Dry conditions & low humidity should allow for a 24 hour drying time.

Step 4

STEP 4

Brush off any loose residue. You can repaint from here or leave area as is.

Available in Gallons and Quarts

Rust Kutter stops the oxidation process to prevent further rusting. Stop even the toughest rusting on ferrous metals, tools, farm equipment, railings, lawn furniture and truck beds.

  • Rust Kutter is for use on metal surfaces that have rusted, such as: car bodies, metal tools and outdoor equipment. This is not meant for surfaces that exceed 220 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • Rust Kutter can be used with a brush, roller, or spray gun, depending on the size and complexity of the surface being treated. See label for more in depth step-by-step instructions.

  • Painting is not required. Painting the surface after Rust Kutter application will likely prolong the protection from rust later on.

  • We recommend using Rust Kutter when temperatures are between 50-90 degrees Fahrenheit. Rust Kutter is not intended for surfaces that will reach over 200 degrees Fahrenheit.

Using to neutralize rust on undercarriage of three older neglected (by me) MN winter vehicles. Used in combination as experiment with paint thinner I removed years of rust and grit from inside of chromed wheels on my new old truck. Not recommending you do this!Don't leave it on as it produces an oxidation that needed a wire brush to remove.Bought the first time with commercial grade plastic spray bottle . Worked well. Will use after wire brushing in future instead of before. LOL!When I run out will purchase again.

The frame on my truck was getting a little bad, so I bought this to convert the rust. Just remove the loose stuff with a pressure washer, and do not grind your rust !!! It does what it says, and leaves a phosphate coating which stops the rusting process !I've left mine 'bare' for a few months to check results, and will give it another coating before I paint. I don't see any more 'red' rust appearing, and it looks like this may be a permanent solution. Follow the instructions, safety first, wear a respirator, and definitely wear gloves...this stuff is acid, after all !

Don't mix up Rust Kutter with Krud Kutter. Rust Kutter works amazingly fast. And no, it doesn't magically remove eons of built up rust. You need to do the work to rid yourself of those mountains of rust, but once you are at a point where you can prepare to paint, it will covert that lingering little layer into an inert compound. Great stuff!

This product has directions that must be followed step by step. This product turns black as stated, but it will take a couple of days for it to completely dry. After it is completely dried, then it will turn to a phosphate coating and ready to paint.Again, read the directions and use PPE for your protection.

My truck is a 2009 RAM1500, got it from government online auction, and its mileage was only 35,000km. But there's a lot of rust on the bottom of the truck. I've tried different brands of rust converters, and this one worked the best. 2 days after painting the liquid to truck bottom, it gave a solid white finish that I couldn't knock off even with a hammer. Its disadvantage is that the converted white surface will last for a long time, and user has to paint the surface, otherwise it looks ugly. Overall, I 100% recommend this product. In addition, I would like to say that this barrel of rust converter was shipped to Canada from California, USA. It was packed in a loose cardboard box without any lining material. When I received it, I found that it obviously leaked at the barrel outlet. About 10% of the liquid was lost. I am amazed that only 10% is lost, not 100% during such a long trip. I would like to tell sellers: you should improve the packing.
