Don’t waste your money. It lasted 20 minutes before one of the wheels snapped off. I can’t fault any of the Zinser paint range but this product is terrible.

It did wonderful for about 15 minutes then one of the "wheels" broke off. After fumbling with it for a few moments trying to fix it, i just gave up.

The product itself is really cheaply made. I'm sure it won't hold up to the mounds of thick wallpaper I have to remove. It took over a month for this to arrive and I was charged additional shipping fees after it arrived. Wish I never ordered this

Excellent product worked very easily. I can't see how you could find a product that worked any better. I really don't see how you could give it less than 5 stars. Perforating the wall paper was easy. The ball rolled over the wallpaper and you could do a wall in a few minutes. I followed this will a remover. I happened to use WP Chomp but I am sure any product would do. The product worked better than just hot water. I let it sit10 minutes an easily scrapped it off with a 6 inch metal putty knife. Then I clean with soap and water (who could use a brush or pad and then I wiped down with paint thinner and then lightly sanded. It was easy

Not perfect, but it gets the job mostly done. I wish it was smaller for narrower sections of the wall. The sound of it in action sends chills own my spine. But despite those minor complaints, it gets the job done. We used this to score the wallpaper before spraying it with wallpaper adhesive remover. Then a putty knife to scrape off the paper and backing. It's still a tedious process, but it would have been impossible without this tool.

For those of y'all that are DIY'ers like myself, this is a great tool to invest in. I had a bunch of original wallpaper from the later 60's in my house that desperately needed to go and this scoring tool did the trick. I used DIF spray and the brand that Home Depot carries (Chomp). For $7, it's a tool every DIY'er needs to invest in.PROS: Easy to use Nice grip Scores evenly Minimal cleaning (just rinse, dry, and go!) Doesn't damage your wallsCONS: Makes an awful squeaking noise with repeated usage Because of the shape design, it doesn't score as close to an edge as one would like. Overall, I'd definitely buy it again. I'll have to find something else to use for getting closer to the edges of the wallpaper, but it isn't something I am concerned about terribly. I'm very glad I purchased this product.

If you have to get old wall paper off, this is a great product. But you also need a product called Diff Wallpaper Remover. More on that in a sec. So this product has these teeth on the bottom and as you roll this thing around it leaves little holes in the wallpaper. It does not damage your wall in any way. It just scores the paper. Anyway, after scoring the paper, you mix the liquid Diff Wallpaper Remover with water (or you can purchase a squirt bottle kinda like a Windex bottle) and spray onto the wallpaper. Let sit for a couple of minutes so the liquid can soften up the scored wallpaper. Start at a corner and the wallpaper peels off easily. The only problem I have with this product is that it is totally made of plastic...except for the teeth, which are metal. Do not press too hard while using this product! The plastic hinge underneath will break. I was halfway through a room in my home when it broke. Take your time and don't use a lot of pressure!

We were renovating an older kitchen where wallpaper had been painted over & trying to get it off was agonizingly tedious. As we got into the job, we discovered there were several layers in some places and some layers had paint in between as well as on top. It was a nightmare trying to get the stuff loosened and off. I found the scoring tool online & ordered it from Amazon. Talk about a life saver! It scores the paper so that the water we were spraying on the paper could penetrate the layers and layers and loosen the old paste so the paper could be removed. This little inexpensive tool reduced our work time by at least 50% - probably more. Would recommend to anyone who loves old homes but knows the problems common in renovating - such as removing layers of old wallpaper!

The first thing to understand about wallpaper removal is that there is a lot of variety in the types of paper and adhesives and some are easier to remove than others. Your first step should be to attempt to remove the wallpaper just by peeling it off the wall. I had good luck with two rooms where the paper came off so cleanly that there was no scraping needed. Unfortunately, one other room and the hallway require scraping which is how I came to purchase this product. The Paper Tiger is definitely worth trying. Use the tool to score the wallpaper very liberally. Make sure you don't apply too much pressure as you don't want to damage the walls. I used mine on paper over drywall and with a light application there were many small score marks and a satisfying pile of wallpaper dust on the floor when done. I then used a spray bottle with 2/3 hot water and 1/3 white vinegar. I applied a good amount of water to where the walls were wet but not dripping. Let it sit 10 minutes and then return to scrape it off. I used the Zinsser scraping tool and was very pleased with the results.I would say that I spent about 3 times as much time scoring the paper than I did with the actual scraping. The scored and wet paper came off easily with the scraper and if you find yourself working hard scraping then perhaps you didn't use enough water or let it sit long enough. If it still doesn't work well, then perhaps a solvent like DIF is in order.Best of luck!
