I used this for a pair of pliers that have a loose rubber handle. I coated it twice and it's perfect now! It didn't seem like the best container for storage, it seems like it would dry out quickly, so I put it in a Ziploc bag.

Been using this stuff for years with great results. If you want it to last awhile after opening consider putting the container in a heavy duty ziplok bag in a spot in the fridge where it wont tip over or better yet in a plastic container with secure lid then in a ziplok to avoid and smell. Be sure to let the stuff cure in a warm place until it has almost no smell then it is pretty durable. Very smooth surface.

I've seen a lot of people complain that the lid isn't airtight and the material will dry out and become unusable. This is true, but it can be easily remedied with a piece of duct tape around the lid. I've been using this can once every few months and it's not dried out. Product is overall pretty good, feels smooth not gritty in your hands after 3 or 4 coats.

I bought a new mountain bike and had to be really careful walking it between two cars in the garage. I used this product to coat the hand brake levers to prevent scratches. It is kind of thin so I dipped about three times. It is starting to come loose in places now but I don't think it was made to resist crashes. I will just dip again when I get around to it.

I used this product to rubberized porcupine quills for our Festivus celebration. It is so easy to use that in no time the quills were at the required thickness for the celebration ceremony. The sheerness was outstanding; my quills were the hit of the porcupine Festivus party!

This dip coating works well. I did not get the bubbles that I have seen others complain about (I would suggest shaking it well before you want to using, then let it sit for a bit so that all the bubbles creating by shaking it have disappeared). I do wish it were a little thicker -- doing multiple coats seems laborious and small grooves are not coated well with one coat. But, regardless, it's a quality coating. The problem is the lid. When you get the can, it has a metal peel-off lid (which gets thrown away -- can't go back on). After that, the lid to the container is a thin clear plastic thing that doesn't even fit tightly. It's like the lid on a can of tennis balls or Pringles potato chips, but fits looser than either. This stuff is a liquid, and contains a highly volatile solvent (I think toluene). There is no way that lid is stopping the solvent from escaping. So, you better plan on using the whole can in short order, or you are just going to have to throw the rest away.

Does the job. My only complaints are, a coat is Very thin. Takes many coats to equal a factory rubberized coating and those coats tend to have bubbles in them no matter how careful I am. That said, with a little patience and a lot of time you can nicely coat the handles of your tools.

This product works exactly as the manufacturer advertised. I used it on multiple tools and other items needing a rubberized coating. I am very happy with the outcome. If you want a thick coat, you need to remember to let the first coat dry and then apply a new coat and then let that dry, etc. I also found that it works just as well by using a small paint brush to brush it on. Covers the same and is as seamless as dipping.
