Using RV Antifreeze to Winterize
You’ll need a Pump Converter Kit (also known as a pass kit), as well as approximately two gallons of RV antifreeze.
Make sure the water pump is off and all faucets are closed. Close the water heater’s bypass valve (if it has one). This is an important step because it saves you the six gallons of RV antifreeze needed to fill the hot water heater. Attach the Pump Converter Kit to the inlet side of the water pump. Then turn on the water pump to start pumping the RV antifreeze through the water system.

Replaced an older valve with this new value. It's opening was much greater. After fixing install leaks, the valve worked fine. The flow as real strong.

Item received not as shown. Just a valve. No adaptor or hose to draw antifreeze from the jug. If you looking for a complete winterizing kit then this isn’t for you,

Just want I needed to manage the winterization of our boat. Makes easy work of isolating the water tank and boiler from the rest of the water lines to either flush with air or fill with antifreeze.

Been redoing my old Airstream water system. Bought this over the summer but didn't get a chance to try it until tonight. Absolute garbage. Leaks from fitting. Pump won't pull fluid. Verified pump good with another hose, it's this fitting. Missed the return window. Don't be like me, buy something better.

I tried to use this adapter to pump the pink antifreeze through the RV using the fresh water pump as I had done on my last RV. The threads on the two ends are 1/2 npt as stated but you need to make sure that your pump/filter has npt threads that actually seal the line. The RV water lines in my coach are grey in color and all the ends or intersections are made from copper tube. The copper tube pushes into the filter/pump connections and a black washer does the actual sealing when the the joint is screwed together. Because of this i couldn't use this adapter because the npt threads are not compatible with the pump/filter threaded ends that work with the copper fittings.

Revised: Initially, I was really hoping this was going to solve some of my headaches with winterizing. I think it would work, but mine arrived with one of the handles broken. It looks like it may have been dropped or something and broke the metal. I'm kind of surprised that would happen though. The handle was also very loose. I'm not sure if it was because of a drop or if it was defective. I'm just not impressed enough to rate it good. The company reached out to me and sent a replacement quickly and without any issues. With the new valve it is much better. No loose handles and not broken parts.
