After going camping in northern AL and the temp unexpectedly went from 60 to 12 one night, I learned that you never know where/when you would need a heated hose. My wife thought I was crazy to get a heated hose but I knew one day we would be glad we had it… a told you so moment lol! I did not however have a heated sewer hose… I have not used this in the setting you would need it for, but it does work and I’m confident this would keep your hose from getting damaged from freezing. Works great.

Held up to -5ºF temps well. I keep my gray tanks open and my black is always closed. This can sometimes leave water in my slinky and cause a blockage in very cold conditions. This is basically a blanket you wrap your hose in. It works and is easy to use. Kept my sewer flowing in very cold temperatures. Worth the money.

Summary:I chose this item for the winter months when the temperature drops below freezing. Unfortunately, that might be awhile now, unless we get an unexpected cold snap again. I tested the product and it heats up great all the way through to the end. I like that the plug is lighted, so you know at a glance that it's working. The Velcro closure works great.Pros:- Heats well- Lighted plug- Hook and loop closure aka VelcroCons:- The directions could use a grammar and spell check

Slide it over your sewer hose, plug it in and no worries about freezing so when you pack things up you won't have any ice in your hose that makes it difficult to store it away....and can be messy when that ice eventually thaws. This item should go hand in hand with a heated water hose for full cold weather protection. I am very happy with and think it is well worth the price.

This thing has been great so far! I had an issue with the valves freezing shut and not getting them to open, so I installed this and wrapped it as far up to the valves as I could and plugged it in, The next night the valves were not frozen anymore and I was able to empty the tanks. The only issue I have with this is that the plug in for it is such an awkward length, it's not long enough to reach an outlet but not short enough that you can move it out of the way, I think it either needs to be long enough to reach an outlet (10ft or so depending on your trailer) or really short like 6 in out of the pad so that you can hang the extension cord out of the way.

I only need this in the winter, of course, so it's nice that this one comes off and then both it and the hose store compactly.

Works as intended. Fits good around the hose for my Class-C RV. A little more insultation would be nice but that would add to the bulkiness of the hose cover when trying to pack it for trips so I think I am ok with it as is. The power cord could either be several feet longer or they could just make it really short as I will likely need to run an extension cord. It keeps things from freezing in the pipes so I am happy at the end of the day.

An absolute must have if you are a full time RV or camp in the winter. Got mine a little longer so they’d wrap around pipes as well. Stays warm. No issues. Takes about 10 minutes to install.
